Surge in Pakistan’s Road Accidents Sparks Concern Over Safety Violations
A tragic accident on the Indus Highway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district claimed 10 lives and left 8 others injured on Tuesday morning. The crash occurred near Mitha Khel when a passenger coach traveling from Dera Ismail Khan to Peshawar collided with a truck. The impact was devastating, resulting in multiple fatalities on the spot and critical injuries to several passengers.
Two Natco Buses Face Separate Accidents; Two Dead, Several Injured
Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, transferring the injured to a nearby hospital. Hospital authorities reported that some of the injured are in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll may increase.
In another incident earlier, a passenger van carrying pilgrims to the Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan’s Hub area faced an accident near the Veerab River. This tragedy left one person dead and 25 injured.
