According to police, the bus was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar when it reportedly suffered a brake failure, causing the driver to lose control before the vehicle fell into a deep ravine. Rescue teams and local authorities rushed to the scene and launched relief operations.
Balochistan Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Shahid Rind, said preliminary reports indicate the bus was carrying more passengers than its capacity, including travelers transferred from another bus that had broken down earlier. He added that the district administration and relevant authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and the findings will be made public after the inquiry is completed.
