International Internet Services Back to Normal After SMW5 Cable Repair: PTA
Islamabad — The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has confirmed that the technical fault in the international submarine cable SMW5 (SEA-ME-WE 5) has been fully resolved.

The cable is now completely operational and internet services across the country have returned to normal.According to PTA, during the fault, international traffic was rerouted through alternative routes to minimize impact on users and maintain service continuity.
The Authority added that it will continue to closely monitor Pakistan’s telecommunications infrastructure to ensure consumers receive secure, stable, and reliable broadband services.
