Fatal Traffic Incidents Highlight Urgent Need for Safer Roads in Shangla and Malakand
Two devastating traffic accidents in Shangla and Malakand have claimed the lives of 10 individuals and left three others injured, bringing grief to families and raising concerns about road safety in the region.
In Malakand’s Daragai Khatko Shah area, a motorcar tragically plunged into a canal, killing five family members, including two children and two women. Rescue teams recovered the victims and transferred them to Daragai Hospital.

Meanwhile, in Shangla’s Alpori Malak Khel Kotkay area, a passenger jeep lost control and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in the deaths of five family members, all cousins. Three others sustained injuries in this horrific incident.
