PMDC Reforms Help Record Number of Pakistani Doctors Enter U.S. Residency Programs
More than 1,400 Pakistani medical graduates have secured placements in U.S. residency programs, marking a major achievement for Pakistan’s medical education sector, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) announced.
The PMDC credited the milestone to recent reforms aimed at improving medical education through updated curricula, competency-based learning, stronger clinical training, and enhanced quality assurance. The council said these measures have better prepared graduates for international licensing examinations and global healthcare systems.
