FAISALABAD: A dignified ceremony was held at Government College University Faisalabad under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, during which laptops were distributed among 1,934 students to promote digital learning and empower youth through technology.
Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan attended the regional-level ceremony as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, he said the present era was defined by technology and artificial intelligence, and the government’s foremost priority was to equip the younger generation with modern skills to meet contemporary challenges.

He said educated and talented youth were the nation’s most valuable asset and that the government was committed to their welfare and economic empowerment, urging students to focus on national progress and not be misled by misinformation.
Vice Chancellor GC University Faisalabad Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam, while addressing the ceremony, appreciated the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme and the Punjab Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, terming them reflective of transparency, merit and educational justice. He said the provision of laptops and scholarships on merit would encourage students to pursue higher education, research and innovation.
