In a tragic and startling incident in Karachi, a software engineer fatally attacked the chief executive officer (CEO) of a company over unpaid salary.

The incident took place at an office on Shahra-e-Faisal, where the software engineer named Shoaib, reportedly furious about not receiving his salary, entered the office in the evening. He proceeded directly to the room of the company’s CEO, Naveed Khan, leading to a heated argument and physical altercation. During this confrontation, Shoaib used a sharp weapon to attack Naveed, causing severe injuries.
In an attempt to escape, Naveed fled to the basement of the building but succumbed to his wounds despite being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Following the attack, Shoaib remained at the office with the murder weapon until apprehended by the police. The incident has left behind a devastating aftermath, as Naveed, who was the third of six brothers, leaves behind three children. Initial investigations reveal that the 42-year-old CEO was killed amid an altercation over financial issues at Kawish Crown Plaza on Sharea Faisal.
Karachi police officers have confirmed that the suspect, Shoaib Shah, a 27-year-old software engineer, was taken into custody. The dispute was reportedly over unpaid salary and other financial matters, which led to the tragic incident. Naveed Khan’s body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for the medico-legal procedure.
