Dr. Yaseen Chaudhry, aged 45, was shot and wounded by armed muggers in Block-8 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar over resistance during a robbery. The incident occurred on Monday evening when Dr. Chaudhry, along with his wife, was returning home after withdrawing around Rs800,000 cash from a bank. It appeared that the robbers were chasing them.

Upon reaching home, the robbers intercepted their vehicle, held them at gunpoint, and snatched the cash from Dr. Chaudhry’s wife. When the doctor attempted to resist by drawing his pistol, a struggle ensued. During the struggle, one of the robbers managed to grab the pistol, which accidentally discharged, hitting Dr. Chaudhry in the hand. The robbers fled the scene with the looted cash and the doctor’s pistol. Dr. Chaudhry was taken to a hospital and is currently out of danger.
