Major Wajahat Waheed Embraces Martyrdom in Gwadar Counter-Terrorism Operation

Security Forces have killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Jattakabad, Kalat district, while Major Wajahat Waheed embraced martyrdom in a separate counter-terrorism operation in Shadi Kaur, Pasni, Gwadar district, according to a military statement.

The operation in Kalat took place on October 18, 2026, following intelligence reports about hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Hindustan. Four terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire, and a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.

Security Forces Intensify Operations Against Terrorist Hideouts in Balochistan

In a separate operation in Shadi Kaur, the lead force component, headed by 34-year-old Major Wajahat Waheed of Lahore, was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in his martyrdom.

Security Forces are continuing clearance and sanitisation operations to eliminate remaining terrorists. The military statement said counter-terrorism efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative would continue to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism across the country.
