Xiaomi 18 Pro Reveals Flush Cameras, Rear Display and Leica Triple-Camera Setup
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will officially debut this month, with the company recently teasing the smartphone’s design through a video and promotional banner. Unlike some recent flagship trends, Xiaomi has retained the rear display and appears to have made it an even more prominent part of the device.
Leaked real-life images shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo show that the overall camera layout and rear-screen placement remain similar to the previous generation. However, the camera lenses now appear to sit flush with the rear display instead of protruding from the back, giving the Xiaomi 18 Pro a cleaner design. The leaked model features a white finish, a metal frame and very slim bezels on both the front and rear displays.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is also expected to feature a Leica-branded triple-camera system with a reported focal range of 17mm to 75mm. The main camera is said to have an f/1.67 aperture, while the telephoto camera reportedly offers a 75mm focal length, 3.2x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture. This would represent a change from the Xiaomi 17 Pro’s 5x telephoto setup, potentially linked to the new flush camera design.
The new flagship is also expected to bring a larger battery and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is based on a 2nm process according to the supplied report. Xiaomi has described the Xiaomi 18 Pro as a major upgrade, while the rear display is expected to offer more functionality than before. More details are likely to emerge ahead of the official launch.
