Pakistan’s Olympic Hero Arshad Nadeem Honoured with Prestigious Asian Athletics Award
Pakistan’s star javelin thrower and Olympian Arshad Nadeem has been awarded the Best Asian Athlete Award by Asian Athletics during a ceremony held in Gumi, South Korea. The honor recognizes his exceptional performances and significant contributions to athletics across Asia. The event, held after an Asian athletics meeting, was attended by prominent dignitaries including Major General (Retd) Muhammad Akram Sahi and Brigadier (Retd) Wajahat Hussain Sahi, showcasing Arshad’s growing stature on the international stage.

Arshad Nadeem, who made history by winning Pakistan’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in athletics at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a record-breaking 92.97m javelin throw, continues to shine. With multiple medals under his belt from global competitions like the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games, Arshad is now gearing up to compete in the upcoming Asian Athletics Championship in South Korea, further raising Pakistan’s profile in the world of athletics.
