Mayor Wahab emphasized that all cemetery workers are required to adhere to this set rate. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found overcharging. He urged citizens to refuse to pay more than the stipulated amount and report any violations.
The mayor also addressed ongoing issues with graveyard mafias, declaring decisive action against those involved in demolishing graves or operating without Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) registration. These measures aim to restore order and fairness in the city’s cemeteries.
