Hofuf, Al-Ahsa: A devastating house fire in Hofuf, Al-Ahsa governorate, claimed the lives of seven members of a single family, including six siblings and their nephew. The fire, reportedly triggered by an overheated mobile phone charger, engulfed their two-story home, leaving them trapped inside.
The victims were identified as Laila Hussein Al-Jibran, Iman Hussein, Latifa Hussein (who had recently celebrated her marriage contract), Ahmed Hussein, Reda Hussein, Abdul-Ilah Hussein, and their nephew Hussein Ali Al-Jibran.

According to family accounts, the fire began when a mobile phone charger left on a sofa ignited, quickly spreading to the ceiling and engulfing the house in flames. Despite the valiant efforts of family members to contain the fire and rescue those trapped inside, the thick smoke proved to be fatal, leading to the tragic loss of life.
The surviving mother, who had been hospitalized due to the incident, has since been discharged after her condition improved.

The Civil Defense teams responded swiftly to the emergency, but unfortunately, they were unable to prevent the loss of life. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of fire safety precautions and the potential dangers of electrical devices.
