KP Wildlife Department Achieves Record-Breaking Bids in Markhor Trophy Hunting Auction”
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Wildlife Department recently conducted an open bidding for markhor trophy hunting permits in Chitral and Kohistan, setting a new record for the highest-ever bid rates in the program’s history. The Toshi 1 and Toshi 2 conservancies in Chitral each attracted top bids of $271,000 (equivalent to Rs75,442,578), while the Kaigah conservancy in Kohistan received a bid of $193,000 (Rs55,728,478), and Gehriat conservancy in Chitral garnered $190,000 (Rs52,893,321).
