In a tragic incident, 11 police officers were martyred in an attack by bandits on two police vehicles in the Kachcha area of Rahim Yar Khan. According to Punjab Police, the incident occurred when both police mobiles became stuck in rainwater, making them vulnerable to the robbers who launched an attack using rocket launchers.

The attack, which took place in the Machchka area, also left seven officers injured, with four others reported missing. In response, the Rahim Yar Khan police have called in reinforcements to the area to handle the situation.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyred officers. He expressed solidarity with the families of the fallen policemen and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
