Adventure athlete Samar Khan has made history by ascending Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe, and snowboarding down, becoming the first Pakistani woman to achieve this milestone. She announced her achievement on Instagram, detailing her summit push starting at 3am and reaching the peak by 10am, followed by an exhilarating descent.

Khan is renowned for her adventurous spirit, having previously cycled on the third largest non-polar glacial system in the Karakoram mountains and on Kilimanjaro, the roof of Africa. She has also been a mentee in the ESPNW Global Sports Mentoring Program and runs ‘Samar Camp,’ offering sports camps for girls and women in Pakistan.
Hailing from Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan has won multiple accolades, including a silver medal in the Sadia Khan Championship in 2022 and victory in the Red Bull Homerun snowboarding category in 2021. Her latest feat adds to her legacy as a trailblazer in action sports.
