Saveera, a practicing doctor and a member of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), is optimistic about her chances in the elections, aiming to represent the PK-25 constituency. Her political journey is deeply rooted in her family’s allegiance to the PPP, with her father, retired doctor Oam Parkash, being an active party member for over three decades.
In an interview, Saveera outlined her commitment to serving the underprivileged, particularly focusing on women who have endured suppression and neglect for an extended period. A trailblazer in her own right, Saveera obtained her MBBS degree from Abbottabad Medical College in 2022 and currently holds the position of general secretary in the PPP women’s wing in Buner.
Saveera’s foray into politics stems from her desire to address the challenges she witnessed in government hospitals during her medical career. Drawing inspiration from her father’s legacy, Saveera aspires to become an elected legislator to champion the cause of the area’s poor and underserved, aligning with her deeply ingrained commitment to humanitarian service.
