The highest security level attainable in the field of general-purpose operating system (OS) kernels, Huawei’s HongMeng Kernel received the industry’s first Evaluation Assurance Level 6 Augmented (EAL6+) certified as part of Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC). The first company in the world to acquire this certification for smart devices is Huawei.
The basis for OS security and privacy is the OS kernel. CC, also known as the ISO/IEC 15408 standard, is one of the most well-known information security certifications in the world of IT. A widely adopted and well-known standard for assessing the security of products is CC.
