Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan attended the event, where the company also hosted a dedicated stall for guests.

Karachi, 1st November 2026 – Dawlance, Pakistan’s home appliances manufacturer and a subsidiary of Türkiye’s Arçelik, joined the celebrations marking the 103rd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan attended the event, where the company also hosted a dedicated stall for guests.

Cumhuriyet Bayramı, or Turkish Republic Day, commemorates the proclamation of the Turkish Republic by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on 29 October 1923, when the Grand National Assembly elected him the Republic’s first President. The day is also celebrated with enthusiasm in Pakistan, where Turkish enterprises have made large-scale investments and mark the occasion with their Pakistani employees and customers.

At the Dawlance stall, which carried a message marking the occasion, the team served guests traditional Turkish coffee, sweets and Turkish delight, prepared using a Dawlance coffee machine and microwave oven.

Speaking at the event, Umar Ahsan Khan, CEO, Dawlance, said:

“It is an honour to join our Turkish brothers and sisters in celebrating 103 years of the Republic of Türkiye. The bond between our nations is one of true brotherhood, rooted in shared history, faith and mutual trust. As part of the Arçelik family, we see this partnership come alive every day, as Turkish expertise and Pakistani talent work side by side to build world-class appliances in Pakistan, for Pakistan and the world.”

Mr. Ergül Kodak, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, said:

“Today, we do not just celebrate a date on the calendar, but a legacy of resilience, sovereignty and the enduring spirit of the Turkish nation. The bond between Türkiye and Pakistan is deeply rooted in shared history, faith and mutual affection, and we stand shoulder-to-shoulder, whether responding to natural disasters or standing up for each other’s interests on international platforms. Long live the Republic of Türkiye, long live Pakistan-Türkiye brotherhood!”

In the spirit of Islamic brotherhood, Pakistan and Türkiye continue to deepen socio-economic ties built on trust and shared knowledge. With its dynamic population and growing market, Pakistan offers strong opportunities for Turkish investors, while President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistan’s leadership have championed closer collaboration between the two nations’ industries.
