Z-Wallet Brings RAAST Transfers, Bill Payments and More to 22 Million Zong Users
Zong has partnered with Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, to launch Z-Wallet, an embedded digital financial service integrated directly into the My Zong App (MZA). Built on Zindigi’s regulated Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure, the initiative allows Zong customers to access banking services without downloading or switching to a separate banking application. The launch, attended by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and other officials, marks a significant development in Pakistan’s telecom and digital finance sectors.
With more than 22 million monthly active users, the My Zong App now provides customers with services including interbank fund transfers through RAAST, utility and internet bill payments, and mobile top-ups through a single login and PIN. Z-Wallet is expected to expand with additional offerings such as nano lending, a Z-Debit Card and specialized Zong bundles, creating a wider financial-services ecosystem within the telecom platform.

Zong said the partnership supports its transformation from a traditional telecommunications operator into a broader technology services enterprise, while Zindigi described the initiative as embedded finance at scale. The companies aim to combine Zong’s nationwide customer reach and technology platforms with Zindigi’s regulated digital banking capabilities to improve access to financial services and promote digital and financial inclusion across Pakistan.
The service has already shown early traction following its soft launch, with around 22,000 verified wallets and more than 12,000 transactions recorded within a few weeks. With over 500,000 new My Zong App downloads every month, the platform provides a growing channel for expanding digital financial services. Zong said Z-Wallet also supports its broader focus on AI enablement, personalized digital experiences and the development of the My Zong App into a comprehensive digital platform beyond conventional telecom services.
