Galaxy S27 Series Leak Suggests New Sony Sensors and Dual Telephoto Setup
A fresh rumor has revealed more alleged details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 smartphone lineup, expected to debut in early 2027. According to the latest leak, both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra may feature a 50MP ultrawide camera using Sony’s IMX855 1/2.55-inch sensor, reinforcing claims from previous reports.

The leak also suggests that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will retain a dual telephoto camera setup, while the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to include a single telephoto lens. Both models are rumored to feature a 16MP front-facing camera with autofocus, and the Pro variant could reportedly offer optical image stabilization (OIS) for selfies. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are also said to receive a new 50MP Sony main camera sensor, replacing previous hardware.
Internally, Samsung is reportedly using the codenames NM1, NM2, NM3, and NM4 for the Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra, respectively, with “NM” believed to stand for “New Miracle” or “Next Miracle.” As these details are based solely on leaks and have not been confirmed by Samsung, they should be treated as speculation until the company officially unveils the Galaxy S27 series.
