Ufone Activates 5G Network, Delivers Speeds Above 300 Mbps
Ufone has started activating its 5G network in selected areas of Islamabad, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s rollout of next-generation mobile connectivity. Early testing shows users in parts of the federal capital can access 5G services with download speeds exceeding 300 Mbps. The initial coverage includes F-10, Jinnah Avenue, New Blue Area, G-9, the Centaurus vicinity, Islamabad Expressway, Faizabad, and the Serena Hotel area.
Islamabad Gets Ufone 5G as Network Expansion Begins
The company said the launch is the first phase of a broader expansion plan following its acquisition of 5G spectrum earlier this year. While commercial coverage is currently limited, Ufone plans to gradually extend the network to more locations in Islamabad and other cities, aiming to deliver faster mobile broadband, improved network performance, and support for advanced digital services and emerging technologies.
