Apple Tests Variable Aperture Camera for iPhone 18 Pro
Apple is reportedly introducing variable aperture camera technology in its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series, marking a first for the iPhone lineup. According to reports, trial production of key components has already begun, with LG Innotek preparing to start mass production between June and July.

The new system will allow the main camera lens to adjust its opening, improving light control for better photos in both bright and low-light conditions. However, due to cost and design limitations, this feature is expected to be limited to the primary camera in Pro models only.
If successfully implemented, the upgrade could significantly enhance photography, offering improved brightness, reduced overexposure, and better depth-of-field effects such as natural background blur.
