MQM Leader Slams Traffic Police Corruption, Warns of Public Backlash in Karachi
Senior MQM-Pakistan leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has accused the Sindh government of devising new ways to exploit Karachi’s citizens, alleging that the city’s traffic police are extorting money under the guise of number plate checks. In a strongly worded statement, he claimed that Karachi’s traffic police collect millions in bribes daily, funneling it through a corrupt chain of command.

Dr. Sattar said Karachi’s traffic police extortion has turned into an organized industry. He warned that MQM-Pakistan would no longer tolerate this lawlessness disguised in uniform. He also criticized the traffic police for failing to control the dangerous dumper truck mafia, which continues to threaten lives on the city’s roads while citizens remain stuck in endless traffic jams without solutions.

Sindh Govt Turning Karachi Into ‘Mohenjo-Daro,’ Says Sattar
He further slammed the poor state of Karachi’s roads, comparing them to ancient ruins like Mohenjo-Daro, while accusing the Sindh government of desiring US-style fines on crumbling roads. Dr. Sattar warned that if Karachi’s citizens finally lose patience, a public uprising could sweep away those in power. He urged the provincial government to end its unjust policies and corrupt practices before it’s too late.
