Pakistan and the United States have reached an agreement to deploy qualified Pakistani nurses to New York for employment, following discussions between Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos of the New York State Assembly and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad. During their meeting, both sides explored avenues for enhanced cooperation in education, health, policing, and economic sectors. Deputy Speaker Ramos highlighted the valuable contributions of the Pakistani community in the US and emphasized the shortage of qualified nurses in America, noting Pakistan’s potential in addressing this demand.
