The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has acquired a building near the Gaddafi Stadium to address accommodation challenges faced by national and international players. The multi-storey building, initially designed as an apartment complex, will be converted into a hotel.

Construction on the building began years ago but was halted due to security concerns. Legal complexities led the developer to offer the property to the PCB, which invested Rs4 billion in its acquisition. This move is expected to reduce the financial burden on the PCB, which currently spends significant amounts on lodging in private hotels.
