Abdul Malik Khan, a talented squash player from Quetta, is facing a crucial decision about his future after completing his Master’s degree in accounting at Cornell University in New York. Despite the allure of a stable job, Malik’s passion for squash has led him to choose the sport over a traditional career path.

Squash holds a special place in Pakistan’s sporting landscape, and Malik has been part of its rich history since he began playing at a national level at the age of 10. His achievements include winning a bronze medal for Pakistan at the Asian Junior Championship and Asian Team Championship in 2017, as well as being the World Junior Plate Gold Medallist in 2017 and Pakistan’s number-one junior player in 2018.
Currently training under former world number one player David Palmer, Malik is determined to excel in squash and follow in the footsteps of legendary Pakistani players like Jahangir Khan, Jansher Khan, and Hashim Khan. However, his ambitions extend beyond the court, as he dreams of opening a cancer hospital in Balochistan.

The lack of healthcare facilities in Balochistan, particularly for cancer treatment, has motivated Malik to envision a hospital that would provide free treatment to patients in need. Despite the challenges ahead, Malik remains committed to his goals and is determined to make a difference in his community.
