According to a statement on Sunday, the visit was conducted on the instructions of Caretaker CM Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar and Director General SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain. During the inspection, the sanitation situation was found to be very poor.
Medical records of the staff working at the bakery were also not available. The production unit of the bakery was also temporarily closed due to the presence of rats and cockroaches in the production unit. A fine of Rs250,000 was also imposed on the management of the bakery.
Mr Hussain said in a statement that the management of the bakery had also been given a notice to improve the situation within 15 days. He also directed the people associated with the business of food items to follow the rules of hygiene.
