The caretaker government of Punjab approved loans of more than 36 crore rupees to eleven judges of the High Court.
Loans given to High Court judges will be interest-free, judges will repay these loans within 12 years without paying a single rupee of interest, 11 High Court judges were given loans equal to 36 basic salaries for 3 years, apart from The average is made at three crore rupees.
Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance Agenda No. 17, 18 and 19 are regarding giving money to 11 judges, the basic salary of these judges is more than Rs 9 lakh per month. Justice Anwarul Hasan is the sixth among them who has issued an injunction against the government regarding sugar mills.
No such example of interest-free loans to government officials has come before. Justice Rasul Hasan Syed, Justice Shakeel Ahmed, Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem, Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafiq, Justice Abid Hussain Chhata, Justice Rasul Hasan Syed, Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem, Justice Abid Hussain Chatta, among the judges who took interest-free loans from the government. Anwar Hussain, Justice Ali Zia Bajwa, Justice Raheel Kamran, Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad, Justice Safdar Saleem Shahid and Justice Muhammad Raza Qureshi are included.
