9 soldiers were martyred and 5 were injured in a suicide bombing by a motorcyclist in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber blew himself up near a convoy of security forces in Bannu’s Jani Khel area.
As a result of the explosion, 9 officials including Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali were martyred while five were injured who have been shifted to CMH Hospital for medical assistance.
Out of 30 utility stores in North Waziristan, only two stores are operational
After the suicide blast, the security forces have surrounded the area and started an operation to search for the terrorists.
ISPR says that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve.
The Prime Minister expressed regret
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kaktor has said that the martyrdom of 9 brave soldiers in the cowardly act of terrorism in Bannu broke his heart, many people were injured in the incident, such actions are totally condemnable.
He wrote that my sympathies are with the families of the martyrs and the injured, Pakistan is committed against such terrorism, heart saddened by the martyrdom of 9 youths in the cowardly act of terrorism in Bannu.
