HBL Microfinance Bank (HBL MfB), 1LINK (Pvt.) Limited and Euronet Pakistan have signed a tripartite agreement to introduce Pakistan’s first PayPak Credit Card. Under the partnership, HBL Microfinance Bank will become PayPak’s inaugural credit card partner, marking a significant development in the country’s payments and microfinance sectors.

The agreement was signed by HBL Microfinance Bank President and CEO Amir Khan, 1LINK CEO Najeeb Agrawalla and Euronet CEO Kashif Gaya. HBL Microfinance Bank will issue the cards and manage the customer proposition, while 1LINK will provide the PayPak payment scheme and Euronet will deliver the card-processing technology and implementation support.
HBL Microfinance Bank plans to offer the PayPak Credit Card in four variants — Green, Standard, Pink and Edge — giving customers greater flexibility in accessing credit for their financial and livelihood needs. The bank also plans to introduce both conventional and Islamic PayPak Credit Card options, expanding access to formal credit solutions for microfinance customers across Pakistan.
The initiative brings together HBL Microfinance Bank’s microfinance reach, 1LINK’s locally powered PayPak network and Euronet’s payments technology. The partners say the program is aimed at expanding financial inclusion and providing responsible, convenient and locally supported credit card services to customers who have traditionally had limited access to conventional banking products.
