Woman Allegedly Throws Two-Month-Old Baby Into Drain in Murree, Police Investigate
A tragic incident was reported in Gohra village of Masiari area in Murree, where a woman allegedly threw her two-month-old baby into a rainwater drain. According to media reports, police were informed about the incident and recovered the infant’s body from the drain.
Police have registered a case and detained the child’s parents for questioning. Murree District Police Officer said an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
During the preliminary investigation, the woman allegedly told police that she already had six children and was unable to care for another child. Police said they are examining different aspects of the incident, while further questioning of the detained parents is continuing. Legal formalities are also being carried out following recovery of the body.
