Alex Cooper’s ‘Love Overboard’ Scrapped by Disney as Unwell Faces Setbacks
Disney has canceled Alex Cooper’s Hulu dating reality series Love Overboard after one season, marking a setback for the media personality’s growing television ambitions. The show, produced by Cooper’s Unwell Productions and hosted by former Bachelorette star and Traitors winner Gabby Windey, premiered on March 26.
According to reports, the reality series struggled to attract a large enough audience, leading Disney to end the program. The cancellation follows recent challenges for Cooper’s business ventures, including reports that some Unwell beverage products were being discontinued.

Despite the setback, Disney is reportedly maintaining its relationship with Cooper and remains in development on several projects with her. Unwell Productions is also involved in You Deserve To Know, a new Hulu drama starring Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, suggesting that Cooper may continue expanding into scripted television.
Cooper rose to prominence through her Call Her Daddy podcast and later secured a reported $60 million, three-year Spotify deal. Her Unwell brand has also attracted major investment, with reports valuing the company at around $500 million. However, the company has faced criticism and allegations concerning workplace issues, adding to the challenges surrounding Cooper’s expanding business empire.
