Clover Pakistan to Distribute Smart EV Chargers Nationwide Under Exclusive UK Deal
Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) sector received another boost after Clover Pakistan Limited (CPL) announced its entry into the EV charging infrastructure business through an exclusive partnership with UK-based CITA-UK. In a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said it had signed an agreement to become the exclusive distributor and stockist of CITA-UK’s smart EV chargers, accessories, and related equipment across Pakistan.

CITA-UK is known for its advanced EV charging technologies and infrastructure solutions. Clover Pakistan said the partnership is part of its broader business diversification strategy, aimed at expanding into green energy and sustainable technologies while strengthening its presence in high-growth sectors. The move reflects the company’s continued efforts to capitalize on the increasing demand for electric mobility solutions in Pakistan.
The announcement comes as Pakistan accelerates the development of its EV ecosystem through supportive government policies promoting electric vehicles, local manufacturing, and charging infrastructure. Recent developments include the Sindh government’s plan to establish EV charging networks across the province and BYD Pakistan’s ongoing $150 million vehicle assembly plant in Gharo, Sindh, which is expected to produce the country’s first locally assembled BYD electric vehicle. Established in 1986, Clover Pakistan has evolved from a food products business into an energy-focused company and is now expanding its portfolio to include electric vehicle infrastructure.
