Heavy Rains Trigger Floods in Hunza, Farmland and Tractor Buried Under Debris

HUNZA: Flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall have caused widespread destruction in the Ganish Nala area of Garelit, Hunza, damaging agricultural land and uprooting numerous trees.

The powerful floodwaters carried large amounts of debris, burying a tractor under mud and rocks. The flooding has also caused significant losses to local farmers by destroying cultivated land and affecting the area’s agricultural infrastructure.

Residents Urge Immediate Rescue and Restoration After Hunza Flood Devastation

Local residents have appealed to the district administration to immediately deploy heavy machinery to recover the buried tractor and launch emergency restoration efforts. They have also urged authorities to take swift measures to rehabilitate the affected area and assist families impacted by the disaster.
