New Conversational AI Feature Enhances Music Discovery on Spotify

Spotify has introduced a new AI‑powered interactive chat feature in beta, available to Premium subscribers aged 18 and above in the US, Ireland, and Sweden on iOS and Android. The tool allows users to type or speak requests, engaging in back‑and‑forth conversations to discover music, audiobooks, and podcasts.

Spotify Expands AI Tools with Interactive Chat Experience

Unlike traditional voice commands, the conversational AI can recommend songs, refine playlists, explain track inspirations, and even manage playback by saving tracks, adding songs to queues, or following artists. It also provides insights into listening habits, favorite genres, and album or artist details.

This latest update builds on Spotify’s growing suite of AI features, including AI DJ and playlist creators, aiming to deliver more personalized and intuitive music discovery. Broader rollout is expected after beta testing concludes.
