Man Killed in Armed Attack Near Clifton’s Teen Talwar After Bank Withdrawal
KARACHI: A man was shot dead after armed assailants opened fire on his car near Teen Talwar in Karachi’s Clifton area on Monday, police said.
According to police, the victim was identified as Dr Akash, son of Seth Sero Mal. Investigators said he had withdrawn Rs5 million from a bank and was leaving the premises in an Alto car when the attackers struck near the bank. A security guard at the bank returned fire, but the suspects managed to flee the scene.
Dr Akash sustained critical gunshot injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities, while police have launched an investigation to trace the attackers.
