Samsung Could Manufacture Meta’s Next-Generation AI Chips Under New Agreement
Meta Platforms is reportedly in negotiations with Samsung Foundry for a $6.5 billion deal to manufacture its third-generation Meta Training and Inference Accelerator (MTIA) AI chips. According to reports, the chips will be built using Samsung’s advanced 2nm process, replacing TSMC, which produced Meta’s earlier in-house AI chips.
