CHITRAL: Aftab Jahan, a talented daughter of Sinlasht in Chitral and wife of Akbar Wali Shah, has achieved a historic milestone after being promoted to the rank of Major in the Pakistan Army on June 18.

Chitral Woman Promoted to Major in Pakistan Army

With this promotion, Major Aftab Jahan has become the first woman from Chitral to reach the rank of Major in the armed forces, marking a significant achievement for the region. She is currently serving at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore, where she continues to provide medical services as a dedicated officer.
