Kia Sportage L Alpha by Rs 1 million to Rs 7.899 million, while the Peugeot 2008 Active and Allure variants received reductions of Rs 1.2 million and Rs 1.3 million, respectively
Lucky Motor Corporation has announced major price cuts for the Kia Sportage L Alpha and the Peugeot 2008 lineup, reducing prices by up to Rs 1.3 million. The company lowered the price of the Kia Sportage L Alpha by Rs 1 million to Rs 7.899 million, while the Peugeot 2008 Active and Allure variants received reductions of Rs 1.2 million and Rs 1.3 million, respectively.
Price Reduction Table
| Model | Old Price (Rs) | New Price (Rs) | Price Cut (Rs) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kia Sportage L Alpha | 8,899,000 | 7,899,000 | 1,000,000 |
| Peugeot 2008 Active | 6,999,000 | 5,799,000 | 1,200,000 |
| Peugeot 2008 Allure | 7,799,000 | 6,499,000 | 1,300,000 |
Unlike previous price revisions, the company did not provide any official explanation for the reductions. Industry observers believe the cuts are aimed at boosting sales of models that have experienced weaker demand in recent months.

The Kia Sportage Alpha has undergone several price revisions over the past 18 months, while the Peugeot 2008 has also seen significant adjustments since its facelift in 2025. Analysts say the repeated price changes reflect efforts to stimulate demand in an increasingly competitive market.
The latest reductions have also created overlap within Lucky Motor’s own product lineup, as the Peugeot 2008 Active is now priced below the top variant of the Kia Stonic. While lower prices may increase short-term sales, experts warn that frequent and steep price cuts could affect customer confidence and the resale value of these vehicles.
