China and North Korea Agree to Strengthen Ties During Xi’s Pyongyang Trip
Chinese President Xi Jinping has concluded a two-day visit to Pyongyang, marking his first official trip to North Korea since 2019. Xi received a ceremonial welcome upon arrival, including a guard of honour and large crowds gathered to greet him.
During the visit, Xi held summit talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two leaders reaffirmed their close ties and pledged to expand cooperation between their countries across various sectors, underscoring the importance of the longstanding relationship between Beijing and Pyongyang.
