Oppo Reno 16 Pro Debuts With Dimensity 9500 and 50W Wireless Charging
Oppo has officially unveiled the Reno 16 series in China, introducing the new Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Oppo Reno 16 smartphones. Both devices feature a flagship-grade camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor, alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The phones also support 4K video recording at 60fps and come equipped with a 50MP front-facing selfie camera.
The Reno 16 Pro stands out as the premium variant in the lineup, featuring a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3600 nits. Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on a 3nm process with clock speeds reaching 3.73GHz. The phone packs a large 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Oppo has also included WiFi 7 connectivity, dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.4, IR blaster and an IP69K water and dust resistance rating. The Reno 16 Pro starts at $660, approximately PKR 183,000, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The standard Reno 16 offers a slightly more compact design with a 6.32-inch OLED display while retaining the same 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and 3600 nits brightness as the Pro model. It is powered by the Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, paired with Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. Despite being positioned below the Pro variant, the device keeps the same 200MP triple-camera system and 50MP selfie camera.
Oppo has equipped the Reno 16 with a 6700mAh battery supported by 80W charging, although wireless charging is not available on the standard model. The phone supports WiFi 6 instead of WiFi 7 but retains features such as IP69K certification, dual stereo speakers, IR blaster and in-display fingerprint sensor. Both smartphones ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 and include several AI-powered features. Pre-orders for the Reno 16 series are currently open in China, while official sales begin on May 29.
