Major NCCIA Operation Targets Suspected Illegal Call Center in Gulzar-e-Hijri
A team from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency conducted a major raid in the Gulzar-e-Hijri area of Karachi, targeting a large call center suspected of involvement in unlawful activities. During the operation, more than 50 individuals working at the facility were taken into custody for questioning.
Authorities Seal Karachi Call Center, Seize Digital Records for Investigation
According to sources, authorities sealed the premises immediately after the raid and began examining computers, laptops, servers, and other digital records recovered from the site. Investigators are currently reviewing the electronic data to determine the nature of the call center’s operations and identify any possible links to cybercrime or fraudulent activities.
Officials said preliminary interrogations of the detained individuals are ongoing, while further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation. The operation is being viewed as part of broader efforts to curb cyber-related crimes and illegal digital operations in the country.
