Boiler Explosion in Malikpur Factory Collapses Homes, Death Toll Expected to Rise

Faisalabad: A powerful explosion struck a chemical factory in Malikpur, near Shahab Town and Kabaddi Stadium Ground, late at night after a boiler burst. The blast caused the factory structure and nearby houses to collapse, leaving widespread devastation.

Initial reports confirm that seven people were pulled from the rubble, four of whom died instantly. In total, 16 fatalities have been reported so far, with fears that the death toll may rise further.

Rescue 1122 teams, led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Ehtesham Wahla, are conducting relief operations. More than 20 ambulances and fire vehicles are engaged in the rescue effort.

Senior officials from the district administration and police are present at the site, which has been sealed off to ensure safety. Authorities have appealed to citizens not to obstruct rescue operations and to remain in secure areas.
