PDRM FRU Truck Collides with Stone-Laden Lorry, Rescue Operations Underway

A fatal accident involving a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) lorry and a stone-laden lorry on Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam in Teluk Intan has claimed the lives of eight police officers, leaving three others seriously injured.

Hilir Perak Police Chief ACP Dr. Bakri Zainal Abidin confirmed the casualties, stating that seven additional individuals sustained minor injuries. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) responded to an emergency call at 8:45 AM, dispatching a team to the scene. Rescue operations are ongoing, with two victims trapped inside the FRU lorry. Authorities have assured that families of the deceased officers will receive full support from PDRM.
