Seven Soldiers Martyred, 23 Terrorists Killed in KP Security Operations

In a series of operations on May 26 and 27, the Pakistan Army conducted three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the martyrdom of seven soldiers and the elimination of 23 terrorists. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation in the Hassankhel area of Peshawar district killed six terrorists but also claimed the lives of Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah. The second operation in Tank district saw troops killing ten terrorists, while the third operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district resulted in the deaths of seven terrorists and two injuries.

In the third operation, intense firefighting led to the martyrdom of five soldiers: Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin. Each soldier left behind grieving families, with Naik Ashfaq Butt having served for ten years and Sepoy Yasin for one and a half years. These operations dismantled multiple terrorist hideouts and captured six terrorists, with a significant haul of weapons and explosives recovered.

The ISPR emphasized that these terrorists were involved in numerous attacks against both security forces and civilians. Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threats. The Pakistan Army remains resolute in its commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
