In a significant milestone, Ashaz Merchant, a young chess talent from Pakistan, has become the country’s first player under 12 to achieve the prestigious title of FIDE Arena Candidate Master.
Ashaz’s journey in the chess world is marked not only by this remarkable feat but also by his notable representation of Pakistan in various prestigious competitions. In 2022, he represented Pakistan at the Western Asian Chess Championship held in the Maldives.
