The elder brother of former DG ISI Faiz Hameed, former Tehsildar Najaf Hameed, has been arrested in a corruption case.
According to private TV channel Express News, the Anti-Corruption Department arrested Najaf Hameed from a court in Rawalpindi; he was wanted by the department in a case and had previously obtained pre-arrest bail. A hearing against Najaf Hameed took place; he arrived late to court, leading to the rejection of his application for interim bail.

The staff of the Anti-Corruption Department took Najaf Hameed into custody and departed for Chakwal. He will be presented in court tomorrow for physical remand. Najaf Hameed is the elder brother of the former DG ISI, General (Retd) Faiz Hameed. An FIR has been lodged against him in the Anti-Corruption Department Chakwal under fraud sections 420, 468, and 471.
