At Kaju in Chitral, a mother and son were returning home after working in the fields in the evening when the woman slipped and fell into the river.
More than 200 families are feared to be homeless, the provincial government is silent
When the son saw this scene, he jumped into the river to save the mother and himself also disappeared.
Locals reported the incident to Rescue 1122, after which swimmers came and started searching for the bodies, but the rescue operation had to be stopped due to darkness and flood in the river.
According to rescue officials, the rescue operation will be resumed in the morning to find the bodies.
