Punjab Government Names Ali Mustafa Dar as AI Adviser to Accelerate Digital Reforms
The Punjab government has officially issued a notification appointing Ali Mustafa Dar as an Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab. According to the notification released by the Chief Secretary Punjab, Ali Mustafa Dar has been appointed as Adviser on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives.
The notification states that Ali Mustafa Dar will assume his responsibilities with immediate effect, and his appointment has been approved by the Chief Minister of Punjab. Government sources said that in his role as Adviser on Artificial Intelligence, he will provide guidance to the Chief Minister on matters related to modern technology, digital governance, and the integration of artificial intelligence into government systems.

Sources further added that the position is expected to play a key role in promoting digital reforms, improving administrative systems, and encouraging the adoption of advanced technologies across the province. Ali Mustafa Dar is associated with a prominent political family; he is the son of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and the son-in-law of Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif. His appointment is being viewed as part of efforts to strengthen technological and digital policy development in Punjab.
